Mireille Enos has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Karin Lane in Brad Pitt’s forthcoming World War Z sequel.

The actress played the wife of Pitt’s Gerry Lane – a former UN investigator who attempts to wipe out a zombie pandemic – in the thrilling apocalyptic horror movie from Marc Foster.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Enos revealed: “Yes, I am going to be in it.

“There’s been some shifting [with directors] and so the schedule’s a bit up in the air, but it’s definitely happening, and I get to be in it.

“And Brad Pitt. I haven’t read a script so I literally can’t tease anything. I think [there] was a director in place and that’s now shifted, so it’s a bit up in the air.”

It was reported earlier this year that director Juan Antonio Bayona had dropped of the project due to a scheduling conflict.

The Orphanage’s Bayona has been working on fantasy drama A Monster Calls, starring Sigourney Weaver, Liam Neeson and Felicity Jones. It was also confirmed that he has signed up to direct Jurassic World 2 – swapping the franchise for an even bigger blockbuster.

Enos also takes the lead in ABC’s upcoming crime drama The Catch as glamorous and powerful private investigator Alice Vaughan.

She stars alongside Peter Krause, John Simm and Downton Abbey’s Lesley Nicol in the fast-paced series, created by Jennifer Schuur and produced by Shonda Rhimes.

The Catch premieres on Sky Living in the UK on May 26.

A 2017 release date for World War Z 2 has been set.

Despite going head-to-head with the “American Idol” finale, the first two hours of ABC’s “TGIT” lineup held up reasonably well in adults 18-49 this week.

8PM series “Grey’s Anatomy” was down only slightly, while 9PM drama “Scandal” matched last week’s performance in the demo.

10PM drama “The Catch,” which commenced during the concluding moments of the “Idol” finale, meanwhile posted a slight week-to-week gain.

Per fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Grey’s” opened ABC’s night with a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and 7.30 million total viewers. Last week’s episode drew a 2.2 and 7.77 million.

“Scandal” followed with a 1.7 and 5.90 million total viewers. The former number matches last week’s 1.7, while the latter was down from the 6.44 million mark posted by that broadcast. The decline in total viewership suggests that “Scandal” lost some of its older viewers to the “Idol” finale, which drew a 3.3 rating and 14.14 million total viewers in the 9PM hour.

Up from last week’s 1.0 demo rating, “The Catch” posted a 1.1 for its third episode. It did, however, decline from 5.07 million to 4.89 million in total viewers.

At last, we’ll get to put a face to “The Benefactor.”

British actor John Simm (“Doctor Who,” “Life on Mars”) has joined the cast of ABC’s cat-and-mouse thriller “The Catch,” Variety has confirmed exclusively.

He’ll play the mysterious benefactor behind Ben/Christopher (Peter Krause) and Margot (Sonya Walger), who’s been footing the bill for their elaborate financial cons. As the leader of the organization they work for, they’re deeply in debt to him, and he’s coming to collect.

Simm, who played the Master on “Doctor Who” alongside David Tennant, will be introduced in episode six and will appear through the back half of the 10-episode first season of “The Catch.”

The latest entry in ABC’s Shondaland TGIT lineup, “The Catch” also stars Mireille Enos as private investigator Alice Vaughan, who’s in pursuit of Ben, her former fiance. The drama debuted on March 24 to modest ratings of 5.8 million viewers. Its two-hour finale will air on May 19.

“The Catch” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
